Use HomeAdvisor Pay as your payment method with all of your customers, even if you didn’t connect through HomeAdvisor. HomeAdvisor Pay is free, fast and convenient for you to use!

How do I request payment from a homeowner?

  1. Visit the Payments tab.
  1. Tap “Request a new payment” on the Request Payments tab.
  1. Type in the name, phone number, or email of the homeowner.
  1. Enter your request amount, project details, and any notes you would like to send to the homeowner.
  1. Review and tap Request to send. Your request will automatically send to your lead or the email address of your non-HomeAdvisor customer.
  1. If you send a payment request to the phone number of non-HomeAdvisor customer, please make sure to send the text message request.
  1. Add your bank account information to transfer payments as quickly as possible.

How does the homeowner pay me?

For homeowners who you connected with outside of HomeAdvisor:

  1. The homeowner clicks on the link from the email or text message payment request that you sent.
  1. This will prompt the homeowner to download or open the HomeAdvisor App. As soon as the homeowner opens the app, they will be prompted to make a payment.
  1. The homeowner will then be prompted to create an account or login if they already have an existing account.

  1. The homeowner enters the payment amount and confirms payment details.
  1. The payment is sent to you through the HomeAdvisor Pro app. It generally takes 1-5 business days for you to see the amount reflected in your bank account.

How does the homeowner pay me?

For homeowners who you connected with through HomeAdvisor:

  1. The homeowner selects your project from the “Payments” section in the HomeAdvisor App.
  1. The homeowner will then be prompted to select what type of payment it is.
  1. The homeowner selects which pro they would like to pay.

  1. The payment is sent to you through the HomeAdvisor Pro app. It takes 1-5 business days for you to see the amount reflected in your bank account.
  1. The homeowner enters the payment amount and confirms payment details.

  • What is HomeAdvisor Pay?
    • HomeAdvisor Pay is a fast and easy way that HomeAdvisor homeowners can pay you via the HomeAdvisor Pro App. Visit the App Store or Google Play to upgrade to version 3.58 and above.
  • How does it work?
    • Homeowners can pay you from their HomeAdvisor App.
      You’ll receive that payment via the HomeAdvisor Pro App, where you can transfer the funds to your bank account.
  • How do I get set up with HomeAdvisor Pay?
    • It’s easy! Just visit Lead Details to begin your payment request or select HomeAdvisor Pay in the settings section of your HomeAdvisor Pro App.
  • Are there any fees?
    • No! There are no fees when using this service.
  • Can I use PayPro from a computer?
    • No, PayPro can only be used on the HomeAdvisor Pro App.
  • What happens if I don’t accept a pending payment?
    • If a homeowner has sent you a payment and you do not cash out by providing your banking information within 14 days, the payment will be refunded to the homeowner and you will need to collect payment manually.
  • What if I want to disable HomeAdvisor Pay?
    • You can always disable HomeAdvisor Pay by visiting the Settings section of the HomeAdvisor Pro App. Any pending payments will be refunded to the homeowner and future homeowners will no longer have the option to send you payments through HomeAdvisor. You can always re-enable in Settings.

Homeowner Promotional Codes

  • Will I still be paid in full when a homeowner uses a promo code?
    • Absolutely! This coupon was created in an effort to bring awareness to the new Angi App, it will not affect your payment.
  • Do I have to offer all customers I found through HomeAdvisor or Angi a discount?
    • No, this discount is only available to customers paying you through the Mobile Payment feature in the Angi app. If a customer is paying you for your work directly you are not required to provide this discount.
  • My customer is saying there’s some discount and I don’t know what they mean – what is that?
    • We are currently running a TV ad offering customers a $20 discount on any service which they pay for through the Angi App. If they would like to pay you for your services via the Angi Mobile Payment feature you can let them know that applying their code at checkout will give them a discount. This discount will not affect the payment you receive. You are not required to provide customers with this discount, just tell them to keep their eyes peeled for our TV ad.
  • Do I need the Angi App to get paid? 
    • Angi and HomeAdvisor are affiliate companies. This means that when a customer pays you on the Angi app you will receive it in your HomeAdvisor Pay account. You can request payment as usual, through your HomeAdvisor App, also known as, HomeAdvisor Pay Powered by Angi. The Homeowner will be prompted to pay by Angi through the Angi App.
